Why Dream Coaching is not just for the ‘Dreamy’

So, you want to help someone, they come to you with issues or things they want to progress which they haven’t been able to. Maybe they need clarity of direction, maybe they want increased confidence.

As coaches we are taught to follow our client’s agenda. This of course is so important.

But! To some degree we must take our clients beyond their agenda. If someone comes to get coaching, they need and want to be taken somewhere they have not been able to get to by themselves. That’s why they are paying a coach right?

Would you pay a coach if they could not take you to somewhere beyond where you have been able to go yourself?

Many coaches think in a limited way. They focus on homing in on the problem areas and bringing awareness to these, then looking at strategies to push past the problems. It’s sort of what we believe is the natural way of doing things that we have been taught. We tend to revert to this approach when we want to help someone. To some degree it works, but actually there is so much more!

The Transformational Co-Creative coaching approach is different. As Co-Creative coaches, we park the problems, and focus on engaging and igniting your imagination and your creativity. It’s in this place where the most amazing thinking and solutions are found. Scientific research shows that when adults look at solving a problem using fun, creative techniques, simply using ‘play’, they come up with solutions quicker and better than when alternative, what would be considered more ‘adult techniques’ are used.

This is a concept that is very much used in the way we ‘co-creatively coach’ clients. We bring playful, imaginative, and quite out of the box techniques and coaching frameworks into the coaching session.   The results are you step into a wonderful place of feeling light, playful, creative, and empowered. From this place you quickly find the solutions you want, which are normally totally different to anything you have ever thought of before.

From this creatively inspired place, your heart is engaged. You can deeply explore what’s there and what God has or wants to place there. In this place, in the coaching, God is invited in (if that is agreed prior), to speak and lead you to discoveries He has prepared.

The results are transformational. An inspired vision is born. The best way you can know what is next for you, whether solving problems or finding clarity of direction, is to have a profound, clear, deeply compelling vision of what the best outcome looks like. Having this picture affirmed and revealed by God engages your spirit and connects you to your purpose in a clear and meaningful way.

The Co-Creative coaching toolkit uses unique heart and spirit led transformational coaching to get this done quickly. It means you never need to be stuck, you never need to feel uninspired or deeply dissatisfied, because you are connected to a deeply compelling picture of what can be. Being able to see this helps you to work towards it, with both your coach’s and God’s help.

This kind of coaching takes you way beyond what standard coaching does. It lifts off limitations, focusses on God’s best for you, ignites your passion and shows you how to get there.
